FIrebreak fun five night series

THE Firebreak Series has come to an end and what a wonderful series it was.

This year we decided to make it a time trial — with the same route every week.

Approximately 160 runners took part throughout the series, which is a record to date.

Andrew Mason at Holme Lacy set up yet another beautiful route, starting and finishing at the Trail Run Clubhouse.

We had a few more prize categories but the main category was the Most Improved, with runners having to run four out of five trials to be considered.

A special thanks to our sponsors Racefood, Chubby Chickens and Run the Berg.

Two local runners will be representing Greytown at this years Run the Berg Trail Run in October.

We will be hosting a Spring run this Saturday, September 8 at 3 pm so runners can see the route in daylight, to be followed by a social bring and braai. There is no entry fee, just come and run and have some fun.
