OVER two thousand hot nutritious meals are dished out each month by the Greytown Feeding Project (GFP) and received with appreciation by young and old — for many the Tuesday and Thursday servings are their only hot meal of the week.
The incredible work undertaken by GFP, under the guidance of Dr. Aheer, is carried out on a purely voluntary basis — donations, volunteer cooks and servers, vegetable suppliers etc.
GFP is a registered NPO and PBO and will be holding its annual general meeting on Saturday, August 25 at 2.30 pm at the Greytown Feeding Project hall, 68 Voortrekker Street.
Chairperson Dr. Aheer, on behalf of the project, expressed thanks to all those who have contributed and helped to sustain this very worthwhile project over the past 16 years.
Anyone who would like to be part of the project, or who would like to donate to the meals, is asked to contact Dr. Aheer on 082 778 0282.
