THE popular KZN Midlands Youth Choir will perform in Greytown at Wembley College on Thursday, August 23 at 6.30 pm.
Three of the choristers are from Wembley. Ten years ago the Midlands choir was formed to promote the development of the youth in the Midlands through music.
As a a non-profit organisation, its mission is to promote excellence in Western and African choral music amongst the youth of South Africa and the world and to show the importance and influence music has on the youth.
The KZN Midlands Youth Choir represents all nationalities and choristers who are selected from schools around Pietermaritzburg and the Midlands.
During the past 10 years KZN Midlands Youth Choir has participated in provincial tours, as well as many international tours — to Argentina, United Kingdom and Germany.
As the Youth Choir begins its 11th year, it continues to organise and participate in many projects, programmes and concerts.
