POLICE stations from the Natal Midlands participated in the provincial tournaments held at King Edward Park in Greytown recently.
The two-day tournament saw teams from different police stations in the Midlands coming together to play in the provincial tournament.
In the men’s semi-finals, Escourt locked horns with Mountain Rise.
Ntobeko Mkhize scored for Escourt and Syabonga Buthelezi scored a second goal for Escourt. Njabulo Ngqulunga scored, and Thabani Madondo scored another goal for Mountain Rise team.

Captain Musa Ntombela said: “We want to select the Midlands squad that will play in the provincial tournaments to be held in Ulundi.
“The women’s tournaments will take place on April 4 and 5 and the males’ will take place on April 11 and 12.”
The teams that will win in the tournament will represent the province at a national level.
In the finals, Mountain Rise won the match 1-0 against Pietermaritzburg SAPS.
Dumisani Ntombela scored the goal for Mountain Rise.
