OVER 200 pupils had their educational tour to Pietermaritzburg on Thursday, May 16.
The excitement started early in the morning when they left the school in 15 taxis. Their first stop was at Lion Park Zoo, where they saw and learnt about different animals such as lions, baboons, tigers, different species of birds etc.
The Grade 7s then visited the Natal Museum to learn about history and the KZN Botanical Gardens, where they learnt about Natural Sciences. Thereafter the pupils visited Pietermaritzburg Airport, where they learnt about airport operations and saw aeroplanes landing and taking off.
The last stop was the Msunduzi Voortrekker Museum, where they learnt about the history of KwaZulu-Natal.
Lastly, they were taken to the mall to buy items and see different businesses.
The school management thanks parents, pupils, SGB and teachers for making a huge success of the trip.
Appreciation also goes to Action Aid Organisation for sponsoring pupils with meals.
