OVER the weekend, our club had two representatives at the regional round of the Sanlam Cancer Challenge at Victoria Country Club in Pietermaritzburg.
Deon van Dyk had to withdraw due to medical reasons and unfortunately no replacement could be found to play.
The greens at Victoria were found to be slick and fast and had some really tricky pin positions. Our members are used to much slower greens, and the bent grass greens had them guessing.
Dieter Meyer played in the A division and earned 26 points while Mike Harrison played in the C division and earned 28 points.
Thank you for representing St Cathryn’s.
This Sunday, August 5, we will be hosting development golfers from the area who will be playing for the Khumalo Cup.
The format is individual stableford, and the cost is R 150 per player — this includes 18 holes of golf as well as half-time and prizes.
The next round of the Farmers Agri-Care Monthly Mug will be held on Saturday, August 18.
To book for golf please phone Piet on 083 269 1661.
