St Cathryn’s news

THE Khumalo Cup was played on Sunday and our thoughts and prayers go to the organiser, Mr Mandla Dlamini, who is seriously ill in hospital. All of the golfers wish him well.

There was also a family member of the late Mbongeni Khumalo in the field, which made the day more special. At the prize giving Bongani thanked all the players and also the hosts of the day.

RESULTS

First — Oscar Ndawonde 33 points

Second — Siswe Dlamini 32 points o.c.o

Third — Mzwandile Thusi

Fourth — Skumbuzo Buthelezi 31 points

Fifth — Bongani Khumalo 30 points

Longest drive on the 10th — Oscar Ndawonde

Nearest to pin for two on the 12th, the ball landed under a meter from the pin — Skumbuzo Buthelezi.

St Cathryn’s Golf Club would like to thank our neighbour, Greytown Country Club, for assisting in the travelling arrangements to get the Greytown golfers to St Cathryn’s.

Tokozani Mthembu, a mower operator on the course, walked 18 holes with Oscar’s three ball and it was used as an educating exercise for Tokozani to hear in his own language the rules and to understand the game of golf.
