Umvoti Aids Centre donates uniforms

UMVOTI Aids Centre continues to strive to bringing hope to the community, as their slogan indicates, this time by donating school uniforms to needy pupils.

The right to an education is a basic right to all children living in South Africa.

School uniforms mean that the pupils are not competing in their attire and more focus can be placed in their studies.

School uniforms downplay the economic differences in pupils which would otherwise be apparent.

Therefore, 20 pupils from Elsie Mtshali Combined School were identified and selected by their teachers to receive the new uniforms according to their needs.

The uniforms were handed over on January 9.

This was made possible by the funding from National Lottery Commission and the good relations with the Principal — Mr Sikhosane; who was delighted and overjoyed by the gesture.
