Umvoti Aids Centre hosts disability awareness campaign

THE community of Umvoti and surrounds braved the harsh weather conditions and travelled from areas far and wide to attend the launch of the Disability Awareness campaign at Umvoti AIDS Centre.

The Ubuhlebomvoti Special School performance really showed the fruits of Mrs Shezi and Miss Mthembu's dedication of years in teaching and educating our disabled children.

The Department of Health and their teams from Rehabilitation and Primary Care Services came in numbers and provided services to many.

Umvoti Aids Centre wish to extend its gratitude to Umzinyathi Municipality Mayor Petros Ngubane, Umvoti Local Municipality, Umvoti Disability Committees and coordinator, National Lottery Commission, Department of Health, Department of Social Development, Department of Home Affairs, SAPS, Department of Community Safety and Liaison, Department of Agriculture, Santech - Pietermaritzburg, Santaco, The Brewpot, Khwezi FM, Sinamuva Luncheon Club, Greytown Taxi Association, Nhlalakahle Taxi Association, Matimatolo Taxi Association, People of Destiny Ministries, Local Task Team, Umvoti Municipality Tribal Courts and the Umvoti Community for making this event a success.
