OVER the past few months, a total of 27 Wembley pupils were selected to represent uMzinyathi hockey at various tournaments.
The top 10 players in each age group were selected to attend the second round of KwaZulu-Natal Inland trials.
These players competed in the trials to either be selected for the KZN Inland hockey teams or, if they were not selected, they were placed in the country and district teams.
The following players were given the chance to compete in the second round of trials and they were then either selected for the KZN Inland A and B teams or the Country District teams (the U14 Boys’ do not have Country Districts this year):

• Tomas Evans (U18 Country Districts)
• Sarah Barber (U16 KZN Inland A & B)
• Sakhile Ndlovu (U16 Country Districts)
• Snqobile Sokhela (U14 Country Districts)
• John Yeadon (U14 KZN Inland R2 trials)
• Ntando Ngcobo (U14 KZN Inland R2 trials)
• Emma Martens (U16 Country Districts NTR)
• Sinegugu Ngcobo (U16 Country Districts NTR).
