IN a bid to get the women of Greytown and surrounds together and give them the opportunity to interact, two Greytonians, Zandile Mabaso and Anele Masikane, have organised a women’s empowerment lunch to take place tomorrow, Thursday, August 18 at noon in the Greytown Town Hall.
In an interview with the Greytown Gazette, Mabaso said that the aim of the lunch was to give women a forum to express their views as there is nothing like that for them in Grey-town.
Tickets for the three course meal are R150 per person — there will also be guest speakers from the Department of Health, Social Development, and financial institutions.
Local businesswomen will also have their goods on display.
Guests are requested to take along packs of sanitary towels for donation to those in need.
Tickets are available from Mabaso at Shop 3, Standard Bank Lane, or Brazo 17 at the Aheer Shopping Centre.
For further information contact Masikane at 073 288 8263 or Mabaso at 082 698 9231.
