NOW in its third year, 100% Phola Picnic returns on Saturday, September 1 at Inanda Dam and Resort.
Central to this coming event is the celebration of Spring Day (September 1), Heritage and Tourism month. The rural setting of the 1 000 Hills is of paramount importance in highlighting the overall current strategy by Durban Tourism in that Durban has more.
As event directors of 100% Phola Picnic, we could not agree more with this statement, as to those visit our city, Durban has more than just the beach, stadium, uShaka Marine World, Mhlanga, etc. The Valley of 1 000 hills offers a unique visitor experience for the whole family.
Venues like the Inanda Dam and Resort, as well as 1000 Thrills (Isithumba ), Makaranga, Phezulu Safari Park, etc are easily within reach and are great outdoor lifestyle experiences. They offer great opportunities to interact with nature, accommodation and much, much more.
September being both heritage and tourism month, 100% Phola Picnic offers a unique platform to promote the local heritage, which is vastly the Zulu Culture as well others that are prevalent in the area. The tourism aspect comes in the form of the great deal of promotion that the event receives, which aims to drive both local and domestic tourist to visit 1 000 Hills and, more specifically, Inanda Dam and Resort to experience a 100% Phola Picnic.
