Empowering lives

FOR Upper Highway resident Nozipho Zondi, the Embocraft Training Centre Trust, is more than just a training centre — it is the place she owes her success to.

According to Zondi, she heard of the centre’s free classes in 2016 and decided to visit them to see if she could enrol.

She said she always had a passion for sewing but had never sewn on a machine and was desperate to learn.

“I immediately registered to join one of the classes they offered and I was impressed by the level of professionalism the tutors had,” she said.

Zondi graduated in 2016 and was called back later that year, being asked to volunteer at the centre.

“I was called in to volunteer because it was December, and there was a lot going on, so they needed extra hands,” she added.

Following the Christmas rush, Zondi was offered a job as a teacher for the sewing class and today she is one of the most reputable machinists in her neighbourhood..

Zondi thanked Embocraft for assisting her in achieving her dreams and also thanked the community for their support of the trust through sponsorships
