THE Hillcrest Community Police Forum will be hosting a special general meeting at the Embo Taxi Hall on August 25 at 10 am, this to seek confirmation and ratification of changes in positions within the current structure of the executive committee of the Forum.
According to SA Community Crime Watch spokesperson Steven King, the meeting seeks confirmation and ratification of co-option of additional members of the Hillcrest CPF Exco.
He said the main ratification is of the appointed chairman of the Hillcrest CPF, saying: “The reason they appointed a new chairman is because of the resignation of the acting chairlady, Phindile Ndlela, due to health issues,” he said.
King said that the another reason they want to have this meeting is because there been other changes in the Hillcrest CPF Exco, and not only the appointment of the new chairman.
“There has been a ratification of appointment of vice chairman, confirmation of co-option as PR officer and additional members so we want the community to know the appointed members, by that they will know whom to talk to regarding any issues they might have,” he explained.
King urged the community to attend the meeting so they are aware of the new committee members. For more information on the meeting contact King on 066 305 8507. — Supplied.
