Made by youth, for the youth
ARISE Worship in Waterfall will be hosting a music concert exclusively for children on Friday, September 21 at the CityHill Auditorium and the community is invited to attend.
According to Arise Worship spokesperson Lucy Ivins, the organisation has noticed that there is a lack of home-grown music available for young people and they wanted to change that.
“Music is a powerful tool that can be used to speak to the lives of all people, which is why we wanted to create good quality music that would inspire the youth with a message of love, hope and unity,” she said.
“The group, called AriseGen, is a group of 10 young vocalists from various schools in the Upper Higher area. They are busy recording a fresh new album which they will be performing at the concert,” she said.
Ivins said that when they say children they are suggesting children from the ages of five to 15. She encouraged the Upper Highway community to come in numbers to support the children’s amazing work.
“We are talking fiery sound, sweet grooves and hot hooks. The team is composed of passionate, vibrant and talented young South Africans.
“Come and join the AriseGen team at this fun concert,” said Ivins.
