Best parents: Only days left to enter

THERE are only five days left to enter the first-ever Kouga Express Best Parents competition.

The competition is looking for the top parents in the Kouga and KouKamma region - according to their child, that is.

Local learners who are in Grade 1 to Grade 3 this year, can enter our competition and stand a chance to win fabulous prizes.

How to enter

To enter, learners must send a handwritten letter of no more than 100 words to the Kouga Express, telling us why they think their parents are the best and deserve to win.

The following information must be included: name and surname of the learner, grade and name of school attending, parent’s contact number, and suburb you live in. Entries which do not have this information, will not be considered.

Letters can be delivered to the Kouga Express office at 75 Da Gama Road, Jeffreys Bay, or sent to Monique.Basson@media24.com.

Entries close at 12 noon on August 14.

A panel of judges will choose the top ten finalists once entries have closed.

A short video clip of each finalist, telling us why their parents are the best, will be uploaded on the Kouga Express Facebook Page - Kouga Express. The public will have to vote for their favourite finalists.

A panel of judges will then select the winner from the top five finalists as voted for by the public.

Prizes

Each finalist will receive a story book from Lapa Uitgewers, as well as a hamper from First Choice (Woodlands Dairy) in Humansdorp.

The school with the most entries, will receive a R1 000 voucher from Fountains Mall in Jeffreys Bay.
