Gardens to host comedy picnic

THIS spring experience is the first annual PMB comedy picnic, to be hosted at Pietermaritzburg’s best-kept natural splendour, the KwaZulu-Natal National Botanical Garden, on September 2.

This show will be one-of-its-kind as it features the most loved comedians from across the country who are now coming to make KZN’s capital city laugh.

The show includes Celeste Ntuli, Thenjiwe (UK), Dawn Thandeka King (UZALO), Simphiwe Shembe, TK Manjoro, Sifiso Nene, Mdu Ntuli, Flymotion, Moemish, Nonto R, Qatha, Justice Kubheka, Jack Unathi, Joocy and Zuluboy!

Tickets are available at Computicket for R150 per person, bring your camping chairs and picnic blankets. Food stalls and a cash bar will be available on site. No food or drinks will be allowed from outside. There will be limited tickets sold at the gate for R180 on the day.

We are also giving an opportunity to a local indigenous group (traditional dance) that would like to showcase their talent at this event at no cost to us because this event is not sponsored.

Gates open at 11 am and comedy starts at 12.30 am, come early to secure your best picnic spot and laugh your lungs out. Enquiries to Siphu Ngqasa at 033 344 3585 or 078 509 1314 or Simphiwe Shembe at 083 343 4115. — Supplied.
