HE started singing in Sunday school, joined the school choir but now he is a gospel singer that recently released his first album titled Indumiso.
Njabulo Mkhize (39) from Imbali Unit 2 says he didn’t hold an official launch event but releasing his debut album is a dream come true.
Speaking to Echo he said his journey in music started at the age of six.
“I come from a family who loves music and are singers as well. They even have a family choir that they started when I was still a child but I joined it later. We used to perform in different church events and weddings.
“I love music, it is my passion. I do not see myself doing anything else besides music. Growing up in a family that loves music inspired me and encouraged me to follow my dream.
“Pastor Benjamin Dube also inspired me and he still does because I still listen to his music. He is one of my favourite gospel artists.
“I praise God through music. I want to touch people’s lives through my music ...” he said.
His wish is to become a well-known gospel singer and also for get nominated for the Crown Gospel Awards one day.
