LOCAL NGO African Enterprises (AE) recently hosted Vitafoam, this after the mattress company donated 98 foam mattresses to the NGO as part of their socio-economic development policy.
AE Partnership Development Officer Michael Gobel said at the event that it was a very special day for AE as they were thrilled to be chosen as the preferred beneficiary of Vitafoam.
“We aim to use this donation to uplift our service excellence by striving to offer a more comfortable and affordable venue for a variety of different groups that include other NPOs, NGOs, schools, church groups from various denominations and many other religious, humanitarian and community development organisations from all over the country,” said Gobel.
AE Deputy team leader Darryl Naidoo also presented Aldrin John, Operations Executive for Vitafoam, with a certificate of appreciation.
In accepting the token of appreciation, John said of the donation: “We wanted to donate the best mattresses in our range so that we can allow people to sleep peacefully.
“We have two more initiatives we want to donate to in KZN so our work is not quite done.”
To end the event, John reminded those gathered that it is in giving that we receive; a fitting way to conclude the handover.
