Mathematics excursion

A GROUP of 12 of the Grade 10 highest mathematics achievers travelled to Gauteng on August 30 to 31 to attend the Wonders of Rock Art: Lascaux Cave and Africa exhibition.

Thandiswa Nxumalo of Grade 10B said: “A significant moment was going down the mine shaft because we saw the process of golf mining from a single rock, as well as the purification of gold.

“Going to the Sci-Bono Discovery Centre was amazing because we got to see what we learn in mathematics and science being used in real life.

“I am so grateful to be afforded this unforgettable opportunity.”
