THE fourth annual Mpophomeni Miss Spring is coming back again on September 1 at Mpophomeni Theatre from 10 am to 6 pm.
The pageant is organised by A1 Family, which is a modelling agency based in Mpophomeni.
There is no joining fee for models and the entrance fee for the audience is R10 per person.
Lungisani Khumalo, the founder of A1 Family, said the aim of this event is to bring the youth together and do something that they love, which is modelling.
“We have a lot of youth who are passionate about modelling but they do not know where to start so that they can make a name for themselves,” said Khumalo.
“We are giving them an opportunity to showcase their talent.”
Khumalo said since they started this pageant it has shown growth every year and they plan to grow it even bigger.
“Most of our youth are coming from disadvantaged backgrounds and they do not have money to go to agencies and enter competitions. This is why we are giving them this opportunity where they join the competition for free.”
Everyone is welcome to enter the competition, even if they don’t reside in Mpophomeni or under any modelling agency.
