Night of the future stars

TAAHIRA Dhoda received eight out of nine distinctions and an overall average of 80%.

More than a 100 students and staff who excelled throughout the first half of the year were honoured for their hard work at an event recently.

Graham Bennetts, the IIE’s Varsity College Pietermaritzburg principal, said: “This is the most prestigious annual event for our academic highflyers as they require at least an aggregate average of 80% to qualify for an award.

“Amongst such a gathering of academic achievers, we have potential dynamic leaders who will take our wonderful country forward to new greatness.

“What a pleasure it is to work with a truly cosmopolitan team and such a wide range of students of diverse backgrounds, diverse passions and the whole spectrum of aspirations for the future.”
