THE Pietermaritzburg Children’s Home has embarked on a Litres for Education campaign whereby the home will benefit from motorists as they fill petrol at specific petrol stations.
The Litres for Education campaign was created to support national schools as well as charities to benefit from the litres filled at supporting garages.
“As we are a charity, the Pietermaritzburg Children’s Home (PCH) is one of the organisations that have been authorised to participate in this campaign.
“Being a non-profit welfare, all contributions from the Litres for Education campaign will support PCH’s on-going programmes and services,” said PR and events co-ordinator for PCH, Sinethemba Mzobe.
To be part of the campaign is a simple process, all you have to do is go to any participating BP, Engen or Caltex garage, fill up and notify the attendant of the Litres for Education campaign while providing them with the allocated unique number #509 and 10 cents per litre will go towards PCH.
The 10 cents will not come out of your petrol so those participating will not pay a cent extra for petrol.
“Just remember to say to the attendant that you are filling up via Litres for Education along with your unique reference number,” said Mzobe.
Here are the participating garages in Pietermaritzburg:
• Engen Boshoff Street
• Engen Basil Bure Motors
• 45th Engen convenience
• BP Raisethorpe
“Help make a difference to the work we do with no additional cost to you,” pleaded Mzobe.
