St Mary’s Cathedral: Will have their Patronal Festival Celebration at the church in Central on Saturday, September 8. A flower show will take place from 09:00 to 15:00 and a tour of the cathedral will be held at 10:30 and 12:30. Reverend Pakama will also explain the significance of the seasons and colours of the Anglican church year. Entry is R20. On Sunday, September 9, a group of ex-choir boys will form part of the Sunday service.

Art Meander 2018: This year’s art meander will take place from Art on Target in Essexvale on October 26 from 13:00 to 16:00 and on October 27 and 28 from 09:00 to 16:00. Musical Fundraiser: Friends and family of Anika Taylor, a Grade 11 learner at Collegiate, have rallied together to raise funds for her. Taylor was recently diagnosed with a rare brain tumour and now faces a course of radiation therapy. Centrestage’s “ABBA – Here we go Again” tribute show at the PE Opera House on September 13 will be a fundraiser for Taylor. It will take place at 19:30.
