Eastern Cape artists go the extra mile for CANSA

FOR the second consecutive year the CWAA Acqua branch will host an art exhibition, Art is a Favour, in aid of CANSA Eastern Cape.

A total of 50 Eastern Cape artists have agreed to donate their time and talent with an original artwork in the medium of their choice.

The artists were free to create anything they wanted to and were only expected to use the canvas provided and donate the finished artwork to CWAA Acqua to be auctioned.

It will be a silent written auction and art lovers will be able to bid on any artwork for as little as R150 to as much as R1 000. The person with the highest bid on any given artwork will be announced at a cocktail party on November 29.

All funds raised are in aid of CANSA EC.

One in four South Africans will be touched by cancer in their lifetime.

More than 100 000 South Africans are diagnosed with cancer every year.

The survival rate is 60%. CANSA needs all the help they can get to support cancer sufferers and their families.

The event will take place at the Port Elizabeth Golf Club in Westview Drive, Mill Park, on November 28 from 15:00 to 20:00 and on November 29 from 14:00 to 17:00. Entry is R10 per person. The cocktail party will take place on November 29 at 18:00.
