Exciting Education Expo – a first for PE
EDUEX – an Education Expo – serves as an information platform for parents, teachers and professionals, to interact with education franchises and brands, retailers, importers, distributors and manufacturers of a host of related merchandise and service solutions related to education.
EduEx aims to cover all age groups, and every level of scholastic achiever: from the top achiever looking for extra stimulation, to the child needing extra support.
The expo strives to create an environment for parents and teachers to build a referral base for support services and materials for their children and students. This is also an excellent opportunity for high school learners to visit and interact with various professionals and gain valuable insight into possible career choices, should they be interested in working with children.
Organizers Chrizelle Prinsloo, owner of Kip McGrath Education Centres Walmer and Wilene Wiggill, owner of Wilene Wiggill Occupational Therapy Inc., have carefully selected a variety of professionals and specialists in their fields who represent the spectrum of educational services to be exhibitors at the EduEx.
This includes experts in the field of education and extra lessons, entrepreneurship development programmes, supplements, and movement-based learning programmes, as well as a range of health care professionals including occupational therapy, audiology, speech therapy, optometry, kinder-kinetics, psychometrics, psychology and counselling. There will also be short presentations by various experts in the field of childhood development.
EduEx 2018 will take place on Friday, August 31, and Saturday, September 1 and will be held at Elsen Academy in Bird Street, Central.
Elsen Academy caters for the needs of children in Port Elizabeth with learning barriers such as dyslexia, ADHD, as well as emotional and social barriers that make attending larger and more traditional schools a challenge.
