Expo to kick-start school holidays

THE biggest family expo in the Eastern Cape is back to celebrate its ninth year at the Boardwalk’s Exhibition Level.

The expo, now a firm favourite on the third term school holiday calendar, will take place from Friday, October 5 to Sunday, October 7, and is again set to provide a great weekend of indoor entertainment and fun for the whole family.

In celebration of this year’s Kids Rule! Expo theme, event director Linda Harwood announced that the event will dovetail with the 17th birthday celebrations of Sun Boardwalk, promising a wonderful carnival weekend for the whole family with special giveaways and special offers from the centre to celebrate the occasion in addition to lots of other exhibitor competitions and product sampling opportunities available at the expo. Once again, parents will be able to grab a bite and relax or browse to their hearts’ content as there will be lots of fun and action to keep the kids busy.

Nearly 100 exhibitors will be selling and marketing their products and services to the family market, including expectant parents, parents and teachers.

The family market is geared for families with children up to the age of 12.

An exciting all-day entertainment programme will run from 09:00 to 18:00 on Friday and Saturday and from 09:00 to 17:00 on Sunday.

Entry will be R50 for adults and R25 for kids. Tickets will be sold at the entrance to the expo on the weekend.
