Group to host thanksgiving show for retiring reverend

IN the lead up to their 50th anniversary in 2019, the Christadelphians gospel group has embarked on a series of shows and festivities to celebrate the occasion.

One such show will be the Rev. Adonis Thanksgiving Show which will be held at the Dale Street Congregational Church in Uitenhage on August 26 at 18:00.

Rev. Adonis has walked with the group for years as one of its spiritual leaders and he is now retiring from the Dale Street Church in December this year after 42 years of faithful service. “It will indeed be a special honour for us to show our appreciation to Rev. Adonis in this way,” said Cecil Arnolds, spokesperson for the Christadelphians.

“Proceeds will be donated to a retirement gift that the church is organising for him. We hope that gospel lovers in the whole of the Eastern Cape will come to share with us in saying thanks to this steadfast servant of God and his fellow men and women.”

Entry to the show is R50 per adult and R25 per child.

Tickets will be available at the door.
