NELSON Mandela Bay-based side City Lads Ladies made a play for log leaders Thunderbirds Ladies’ top spot when they collected the all-important three points in their Sasol League away game against Red Roses at Mount Frere Stadium on Saturday.
Following their loss last Saturday, Gunners Ladies, as City Lads are known by their football fans, defeated the strong side of Red Roses 1-0 on their home turf.
However, Gunners were not shaken by the home side and showed that they wanted to take the top spot on the log table.
Gunners, boosted by experienced players, displayed their football skills to win the match away from home.
