Hosts win EPRU Grand Challenge League matches

SUPPORTERS were thrilled when they saw their sides win their games on their home turf during the EPRU Grand Challenge League matches on Saturday.

The South African Police Service (SAPS) side, with their experienced players, hammered Star of Hope 54-20 at their own slaughter-house, Kemsley Park.

The students of Nelson Mandela University (NMU) thumped the respected Despatch RFC 52-15 at South Campus Grounds in Summerstrand.

The Uitenhage side’s supporters were over the moon after Progress managed to salvage a 34-21 triumph over Parks at Central Field in Uitenhage.

Kruisfontein RFC earned a hard-fought 24-21 when they hosted on Harlequins RFC in Kruisfontein.

In the final match, Trying Stars RFC overcame African Bombers 17-3 in Alexandria.
