THE Second Chance Matric Programme of the Northern Areas People Development Initiative (NAPDI) will register new learners at Hillside Secondary School in Windvogel on Saturday, August 4, from 07:30.
All prospective students will have to demonstrate commitment by attending without fail for at least a month before their participation in the tuition programme becomes permanent.
The Department of Basic Education offers the matric examination for free to persons older than 21 every June/July. The minimum requirement to qualify for the programme is Grade 9 or ABET Level 4.
NAPDI, as an NPO, charges a minimal fee and exempts social grant recipients, as well as unemployed people. Details about subjects and fees can be found on the NAPDI Facebook page.
Registration at Hillside Secondary School will start at 07:30. No-one will be allowed in after 08:00.
Prospective adult learners must have a certified copy of their ID document as well as their last school report or a letter from their last school confirming the last grade passed.
