Please be advised that effective from Tuesday 1 January, the Western Province Blood Transfusion Service (WPBTS) has changed its name to Western Cape Blood Service (WCBS).
Blood donors are requested to update their records to reflect their new company name. All other details and structures of the company, as well as current contracts and other agreements, remain unchanged. The new company name is already reflecting externally. It is anticipated that it would take three to six months to consistently apply the new name on all vehicles, buildings, signage and other things.
