V Ottery: Grassy Park police officers arrested a 33-year-old man in Ottery last week for the possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition. According to Grassy Park police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Wynita Kleinsmith, officers in Parkwood followed up on information which led them to Moosa Walk where they cornered a man fleeing a shooting scene. After the suspect was cornered and searched, police officers found a black 9mm firearm with one magazine and nine rounds, which was confiscated. The firearm’s serial number had been removed.

V Grassy Park: Metro Police arrested four suspects, aged between 25 and 55, in First Avenue in Grassy Park last Sunday (2 September). Police officers were searching the premises after following up on information received from the public, when they noticed a man trying to hide something. This led them to investigate further and the officers found a silver Taurus firearm, 59 packets of tik, five mandrax tablets and an undisclosed amount of cash. The four suspects were arrested on charges of possession of an unlicensed firearm and possession of drugs, say

V Grassy Park: Police arrested a 32-year-old man in possession of a Rossie .38 Special with five live rounds of ammunition at Vygie Court in Grassy Park last week, says spokesperson Warrant Officer Wynita Kleinsmith.

V Parkwood: Grassy Park police officers arrested a 22-year-old man with an imitation firearm. After spotting the police, officers noticed the suspect throw something on the ground. Grassy Park police spokesperson Warrant Officer Wynita Kleinsmith says the item was found to be an imitation firearm and suspect was subsequently arrested on a charge of possession of an imitation firearm.
