Police confiscated liquor from an illegal outlet as part of routine inspections on Friday 9 November at 12:00.
Mitchell’s Plain Police Station’s Designated Liquor Officers were busy with liquor operations when they executed a search warrant at a house in Boskloof Street, Tafelsig.
Police found a freezer filled with beers.
They confiscated 24 750ml Black Label beers, 24 750ml Castle Lager beers and four brown SAB crates.
Police arrested a 31-year-old woman for selling liquor without a licence.
Mitchell’s Plain Police Station Commander, Brigadier Cass Goolam, said officers are working around the clock to prevent and combat crime, the unscrupulous and illegal sale of liquor to minors and others contributes to domestic violence and other crimes. Building stronger relationships and partnering with the community in Mitchell’s Plain Cluster forms part of the police’s plan of partnership policing.
