The Simon’s Town Historical Society has offered a reward for information on the vandalism of the Just Nuisance statue.
A reward of R5000 is being offered for any information leading to the recovery of the bronze replica collar and RN Sailors Cap and the arrest of the person responsible for the theft.
The items were stolen from the statue in Jubilee Square last night (Monday 13 May).
Just Nuisance was the town’s giant Great Dane with a larger than life personality and the first dog ever to be officially enrolled in the Royal Navy.
