Local police are calling on residents who have lost bicycles or have had them stolen to visit the police station to view a few which they have retrieved over the last few months.
Grassy Park police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Wynita Kleinsmith, says vigilant officers recovered the bicycles during crime prevention and visible policing patrols in the precinct.
“We urge the public to come view these bicycles this week at the SAP 13 office, between 08:00 and 16:00.
“Proof of ownership will be a requirement.
“The reward system proves to be fruitful.
“This system allows any adult member of the community to become proactively involved in the prevention of crime. Crime and criminals can be reported and a reward could be received by the reporter.”
