Wynberg Improvement District (WID) mourned the death of Moses Onewang at his funeral service held at Church on Main on Thursday 23 August.
Onewang passed away on Friday 10 August at the age of 64.
He had been with the WID for nine years and was serving as a supervisor of operations at the time of his dead.
Athol Swanson, WID manager, says Onewang achieved many successes in reuniting and repatriating street people back home with their families, placing them at shelters while working with the Wynberg Haven Night Shelter, as well as arranging health care.
“Moses was a dedicated member of the WID team and always had smile.
“He had a good rapport with City of Cape Town Law Enforcement and Wynberg Saps and was well known to the business community and the general public.”
