Regional Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses at Moses Mabhida Stadium

JEHOVAH’S Witnesses launched their annual convention series recenlty.

The theme of this year’s series is “Be Courageous!” Prior to the event, Witnesses around the world will also participate in a global campaign to invite the general public to attend the programme free of charge.

The conventions will be held at venues in 180 different lands.

In KwaZulu-Natal, an estimated 35 000 delegates of Jehovah’s Witnesses are expected to attend the three-day convention to be held at the Moses Mabhida Stadium from August 31 to September 3. The programme will be delivered in English, Isi-Zulu and South African Sign Language simultaneously.

The three-day programme consists of 54 presentations that will include talks, audio dramas, interviews, and short videos.

Additionally, a feature film entitled The Story of Jonah—A Lesson in Courage and Mercy will be shown on the final day of the convention programme.

Each day, the morning and afternoon sessions will be introduced by music videos prepared specifically for the convention.

Sheperd Nkosi, programme overseer for the Durban Regional Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses, said: “When you look at the news today, you can clearly see that people of all ages are dealing with more anxieties and fears than ever before. It takes courage to face these pressures. We warmly welcome everyone to this year’s convention to benefit from the practical advice that’s contained in the Bible. Admission is free, and no collections are taken. Please visit www.jw.org and see a complete programme schedule and watch a video about our conventions.”
