Seminar aims to build character in youth

CONTINUING in their vision to impact young people within the district, Noble Leaders Foundation, spearheaded by Emmanuel Ngcobo, hosted yet another successful youth leadership seminar on Saturday, August 24 at the Kwadukuza Town Hall.

Aspiring youth professionals and entrepreneurs were empowered with leadership skills and the understanding of what the true characteristics of a leader are.

The theme for the seminar was Exemplary Living – A Cut Above the Rest, and it highlighted the fact that leadership is not just what we say or do but it is a lifestyle, the way in which we live that becomes an example and standard for others to follow.

Young people present were motivated to build character and wholeness in all aspects of their lives and to always be pursuing to upgrade themselves as true leaders and never stop learning.

Noble Leaders Foundation partnered with dynamic speakers KwaDukuza deputy mayor Dolly Govender; Annet Michelle Sewraj of Nation Builders; Prashina Mohangi from Salga; and Fortune Nkwanyana, a professional speaker on entrepreneurship and business branding; all leaders in their own right, to ensure that the youth were empowered and inspired to unlock their leadership capacity and to do something significant every day.

A platform was also given to local artists Abahlengi, from Darnall, to showcase their talent in an initiative to encourage, promote and support young talent within the district.

Noble Leaders Foundation aims to develop noble leaders for a global impact and believe that if young people are equipped and trained to be authentic leaders our communities, and the nation as a whole, can be changed for the better. — Supplied.
