WESSA Algoa Bay Branch is having another beach clean-up this Saturday, with the aim to collect data on the “Dirty Dozen”, which is the 12 most common items found on the beach and to compare results with previous findings.
It will be held at the Pollok Beach section behind the beacon on Marine Drive close to the intersection with Admiralty Way.
According to the organisers, this particular section of the beach and dunes are scattered with litter, therefore the urgent need for a beach clean-up. In doing so they need the public to join hands in this Walk with a Purpose. It will be held from 09:30 to 10:30 and bags as well as gloves will be provided.
There is ample parking there and as usual please bring hats and sunscreen.
