Farewell to Rev. Adonis

THE Christadelphians Gospel Group will be celebrating their 50th anniversary during 2019. Heading towards this historic occasion, they have embarked on various shows and festivities.

One such show will be the Reverend Adonis Thanksgiving Show to be held this coming Sunday, 26 August at 18:00, at the Dale Street Congregational Church. Rev. Adonis has walked with this group for 42 years as one of its spiritual leaders. The Reverend is retiring from the Dale Street Church in December this year after 42 years of faithful service.

“It will indeed be a special honour for us to show our appreciation to Rev. Adonis in this way.

Funds from the show will go towards a retirement gift that the church is organising for him,” said Cecil Arnolds, spokesperson of the Christadelphians.

“We hope that gospel lovers in the whole of the Eastern Cape will come to share with us in saying thanks to this steadfast servant of God and his fellow men and women.”

• Tickets for the show will be available at the door and from the group members. The entrance fee is R50 for adults and R25 for children. - REPORTER
