SEVERAL donations of wool have been received from the community of Uitenhage and Despatch in support of the Rotary Anns’ knitting projects. But the need for something warm is high and therefore way more donations of wool are needed!
“We wish to thank all who so openheartedly supported our request for donations of wool. Thank you, be assured that every item that we knit will be appreciated and used,” said Ann Burkett from the Anns of the Rotary Club of Uitenhage South.
Any type of wool is welcome, even bits and pieces can be used to stitch blanket squares together.
According to knitting co-ordinator, Shelley Hopley, the Anns together with active members of the community, will knit jerseys, beanies, blankets and teddies. These will be distributed to those in need throughout the Uitenhage area.
