Two women were arrested for dealing and being in possession of drugs in Parow, a northern suburb of Cape Town, on Sunday night, Western Cape police said.
A 31-year-old woman was arrested with 1 050 mandrax tablets with an estimated street value of R63 000. At a second location, a 28-year-old woman was arrested for the possession of 630 tablets with an estimated street value of R37 800.
Both arrests were conducted on Duncan Street, Parow, spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk said on Tuesday.
Exhibits were booked in at Parow police station and the two cases of drug possession and dealing were logged for investigation.
"Both suspects will appear in the Bellville Magistrate's Court today," said Van Wyk.
