Cow hit by 4 cars in Free State

Bloemfontein - Two people were injured and a cow killed in an accident on the N5 in the Free State on Sunday evening, paramedics said.

Upon paramedics arriving on the scene, 30kms from Bethlehem towards Kestell, they found two people had been injured when their car had overturned after it hit the cow on the road, Netcare 911 spokesperson Santi Steinmann said.

"A further three vehicles also hit the cow, which tragically died during the accident."

The two injured people were treated on the scene before being taken to hospital for further treatment.
