Johannesburg - A cyclist died after he collided with a motorbike in Bloemfontein on Friday, paramedics said.
"A report from the scene indicates that the cyclist, a man in his sixties, was travelling contra-flow [along Curie road] when he collided with a biker, said Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha.
He said paramedics found both men lying on the ground, the cyclist with life threatening injuries and the biker with serious injuries.
"Netcare advanced life support paramedics worked fervently for about 30 minutes to resuscitate the man.
The biker was treated and taken to hospital.
