Pretoria - The provisional sequestration order against Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema regarding his outstanding tax bill has been extended to 1 December, a clerk in the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria said on Monday.
Earlier, the media waited outside the court ahead of Malema's appearance.
Journalists and cameramen were milling outside the court entrance. There were cameras outside the court and on a nearby street corner, along with a news van.

In May, Malema's provisional sequestration was extended and the matter was postponed.
Malema has previously admitted he had not attended to his tax affairs the way the law required. According to court papers, Malema owed the SA Revenue Service R16m, plus interest, after failing to submit tax returns between 2006 and 2010.
In February, Judge Bill Prinsloo ordered that Malema's estate be provisionally sequestrated.
A final sequestration order would affect Malema's political career, as he would no longer be allowed to serve as a Member of Parliament.
Last week Parliament was adjourned after the EFF began chanting "pay back the money" and demanding that President Jacob Zuma be more forthcoming when answering their question on when he was going to pay back a portion of the money spent on security upgrades to his home in Nkandla, as recommended by the public protector.
