Johannesburg - Vuyo Mbuli’s widow, Savita, fears for her life after
receiving death threats. She is now being protected by three bodyguards after
the plot to kill her emerged.
A family spokesperson told the Sunday World that an
unidentified man called Mbuli on 8 June and told her about the plan to “take
her out”. The caller told Mbuli he had been hired to kill her but would not say
by whom.
The alleged threats came a week after the widow told a
Sunday newspaper that her late husband had had up to 18 girlfriends in the time
they were separated.
Police confirmed a case of conspiracy to murder had been
opened at the Norwood Police Station in Johannesburg.
