Johannesburg - A woman was killed when a taxi crashed into the back of a truck on the N3 at Lions River in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands on Monday, paramedics said.
Paramedics arrived to find that the woman, who had been travelling in the front passenger seat of the taxi, had been killed on impact around 03:45, Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha said.
One person was critically injured, six were seriously injured and seven escaped with only minor injuries.
The injured were treated on scene before being taken to various hospitals.
The cause of the accident was not immediately clear.
