Cape Town – The City of Cape Town's fire and rescue services department is investigating the circumstances surrounding a fire that damaged three Metrorail carriages near Century City on Monday.
City of Cape Town fire and rescue services spokesperson Theo Layne said firefighters responded to reports of a train that was on fire on the railway line at around 12:15.
"Three railway carriages caught alight and no injuries have been reported," said Layne.
