AS IT HAPPENED - #News24Frontline: Zweli Mkhize wants hard, fast and firm action on corruption
ANC presidential hopeful Zweli Mkhize, in conversation with News24 Frontline, has dismissed a claim that he has been anointed by President Jacob Zuma to succeed him.
"President Zuma has not anointed me," said Mkhize, adding when you stand as a candidate, you stand with your own history and leadership style.
Mkhize has also highlighted that South Africa's ailing economy is a major concern.
He said government needs to be based on accountability and efficiency and must act swiftly on irregularities, misconduct and corruption.
